RMG is on a heat streak this summer as they continue to partner with the hottest artists in Christian hip-hop. RMG Amplify is proud to announce their partnership with Mission. Antonio Marquet Smith aka “Mission” met RMG CEO Doc Watson a few years ago at a music conference and later met RMG co-founder Derek Minor through mutual friend BrvndonP during a studio session.
“These guys are really for the culture and enjoy helping out who they can. They’re men of their word and honest,” Mission shares about Watson and Minor. “I’m excited! This is my first opportunity to work with a label. I’m happy to be co-signed by RMG and hope to be in it for the long-term”.
“Mission is an artist that I have always thought was dope. One of the best qualities about Mission is he is humble and talented and to be honest, that's a rare mix and many artists struggle with that. The team and I are too excited to help move him to the next level and beyond. RPSMG!” says Doc Watson.
Mission is no stranger to Hip Hop enthusiast. He began writing and making music as a teenager but decided to seriously pursue the route of creating more positive music to impact people in a positive way and to honor God with his music. Mission attracted fans with his first solo album “Main Event” in 2011. Since then, he has released other projects, collaborated with artists, and have also shared the stage with artists such as Lecrae, Tedashii, Social Club Misfits, Toby Mac, and many others. In 2017 Mission dropped “All of You None of Me” and also a duo album “Barely Finished”, with BrvndonP who co-founded his own music collective RPSMG.
Mission plans to drop a series of stand-alone singles that will lead up to a fall EP release this year. The first single Mission will release with RMG Amplify is “Thank The Lord” ft. V. Rose. Mission also hopes to take the experience he gains from RMG to further shape and develop RPSMG.
